You may be wondering, what is LED Light Therapy and here, we have some information that we think you’ll find useful.
This is one of our treatments that we have available within our advanced treatment range and we do include this within some treatments we provide.

LED Light Therapy is a non-invasive treatment.
Working on the skin by sending different wavelengths of light that penetrate the various skin layers, stimulating a specific process depending on the colour of light that is used.
Helping to fight acne, produce collagen, improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles whilst improving the overall skin texture.
Combined with the correct products, most of our clients start to notice a natural glow to the skin after just a few sessions however to see the full effects, you will need a treatment over several weeks initially.
How Long Will It Take To See Results With LED Light Therapy?
Depending on your skin concern and what we’re targeting, the timeline can vary but we do have some details below for you.
Acne
For those suffering with acne, inflammation and breakouts, this can be reduced within just a few weeks combined with our acne-targeting face treatments and products.
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
You will notice your skin starting to look smoother and plumper after several weeks with ongoing treatments being recommended monthly.
Overall Skin Health and Balancing
Helping to improve the overall appearance of skin, this can be combined with treatments and specifically selected products to suit your skin concerns. The results will be noticeable within a few days or weeks.
Each and every person and skin type is different which is why we recommend speaking to us about any skin concerns so that we can help you with the best treatment options to suit you.
Does LED Light Therapy Cause Purging / Breakouts?
The treatment itself will not cause purging, this is when your skin breaks out temporarily as it adjusts to new products or treatments.
What the LED Light Therapy will do is speed up the skin’s natural process of balancing the skin and this may lead to an existing spot / pimple surfacing quicker and this gives you the illusion of a breakout.
Don’t worry, in most cases this is temporary and shouldn’t last longer than a few weeks.
This is a good sign that your skin is responding well and clearing out congestion.
If you are worried about any potential breakouts, speak to us.
We can help you with the best products and recommendations for managing your skin during the adjustment phase.
